Researcher uses machine learning to see inside living cells

A researcher at Allen Institute for Cell Science is using deep learning neural networks to build systems that can recognize organelles of living cells more clearly than microscopy can.

Using machine learning Greg Johnson's system can identify unlabeled DNA, nucleoli, nuclear envelopes, cell membranes and mitochondria (highlighted by the system in various colors)
